REQUIRED Water Service Lead Inspections
Dear Residents of the Village of Bloomfield,
The Department of Health and the Environmental Protection Agency have instructed us to inspect every water service line entering residences and businesses for the presence of lead. These inspections must be completed by the end of September.
There are two ways to complete these inspections:
- Self-Inspection:
- You may take a clear picture of the pipe as it enters your home. Ensure the picture clearly shows the type of pipe (copper, plastic, galvanized, or lead).
- Include your name, address, and the date the picture was taken.
- Email the picture and information to dpw@bloomfieldny.org.
- Village Inspection:
- If you prefer, we can come and conduct the inspection for you.
- Please note that we will make every effort to arrive within the scheduled time allotment. However, emergencies may occur, so there may be occasional delays.
